Remember that the dorm is merely a place where you can sleep. You don't necessarily need to build perfect interpersonal relationships with your roommates, as these often form naturally and are hard to reshape through your own efforts. If you get a good roommate, that's amazing. But if not, that's normal. Trying to get along well with someone you don't really care about is exhausting and toxic.
