I don't konw, too. I am trying to get rid of my phone, but in vain. I have deleted my TikTok over and over again. but maybe several hours later I would install the apps that I have deleted before. That's crazy. when I realized I have to work hard, I just don't know how to start. And sit myself still and pondering, and idle my time away.

From my point of view, firstly, you should try making yourself busy, for instance, attending some activities, going out more and more, devoting yourself into studying.
Then, making your heart quiet, you should tell youself what you should do and what kind of people do you want to be.
In the end, here is a message for you and me, "Plant flowers in the heart, life will not be barren."  Go for it!

Before answering your question, I'd ask you retrospect on which reason makes you obsess about the cellphone? What applications did you use most? Do the games, social media or news aggregators on the phone spend most of your time? If they are games, then what you need to do is not to play them any longer, or you need to play them on other platforms, like PCs or other portable electronic devices. If it's social media, to be honest, few alternatives exist in the world which can replace them running on the phone. Currently, those apps can implant as many attractive and funny gadgets as you can't imagine. Never to mention, they are keeping evolving, becoming more imperceptible while harder withdrawal every day with the engagement of AI technology. What I can only suggest is to diversify the channels you communicate, such as making as many as of the phone calls instead of interacting with friends in the apps. If it's the third scenario, spending more time on watching TV or browsing on a PC would be a way to mitigate the dependence on the ceiling phone.

As far as I am concerned, the most addictive apps on our mobile phones are thoses providing short videos.

There is a scientific theory for this. While surfing endless short videos which are recommended by big data, our brain is creating dopamine all the time. Therefore, we would easily be addicted to apps like Tiktok, Kwai and so on.

To get rid of the electricical addiction, I suggest we should pay more attention to our real life. For example, we are supposed to care about our families instead of a cold screen. Besides, we can also develop an interest in arts or sports. Only in that way can we find out the real meanings of the world and have a balanced life.

To look for something to do, like hobby or something you are interested.

You can start to do sport, knitting, drawing, etc. Trying to focus on something that you are happy to do it, then you will feel the life is full of happiness as you can do whatever you want.

Or

Close your eye and cut your hand. haha. Kidding.

For me, I am a real phone- addict. I try many times to force myself to get rid of the phone.

As usual, I failed again. But now, after know that it's impossible for me to abandon the  happiness I get from the Internet, I just let it go.

I try to change the way I always did, for example, I begin to install some "study" apps, such as the China daily to broaden my horizon. Moreover, I also watch some academic videos to preview the lessons.

Now, I could completely realize that it's great benefit for me to surf the Internet.

Very easy. You have many choices. As for me, I used to go to a Military-style school. At that school, everyone's phone was confiscated. Therefore, we were all immersed in learning. Maybe it's a little unacceptable, but it's effect is obvious. So I think you can hand in your phone to your mother (or someone who won't give you the phone back until the time you can use)
Well, as far as I am concerned, using phone resembles taking drugs. To avoid paying too much attention to phone, it takes time. Just start and move on.

If you feel you couldn't live on without phone, I have a suggustion that you can make time to travel around, don't stop and just walking all the time. Also you can wear your earphone for music.

Personally,  it depends on the thinking pattern. What do you want to get on the phone? Videos news, games, films and friends among these the only one need to get rid of is emotional parts. It's up and down all the time.
