I don't know why they (teachers) love to make students' grade public. Some may want to let their students know where they are in the ranks. It might be a way to encourage their students. But I thinks it is not necessary to do that.

Students have their sense of shame or honor. If they got the high score or rank, they might want their friends known. If not, they are not. It might dampen their enthusiasm and their motivation to pursue studies.

I also think it is something about personal privacy. Both teachers and parents should not make the test scores public.

I think it is necessary to public students' grade or ranks. Students can know their progress or shortcomings in the past days through their grades and ranks. That is to say, it can help them to realize themselves from an objective aspect. Therefore, they can adjust the future plan.

As for students'sense of honor or shame, it depends on themselves. They have the right to public or not.

What the things we need to do is creating a fair and friendly atmosphere to help their growth. When they feel honor, we are willing to be a listener. When they feel ashamed, we are a friend and we would not laugh at them.

I think this is the meaning of test.

I think there are many competitions in the society, so it's sometimes necessary for students to know their rankings in order to figure out where their position is. But this doesn't mean that teachers need to make students' scores in public, what's proper is that just let everyone konw themselves scales.

I think it's necessary to make their grades public, they should learn to face the burden of study, and it can help them face the burden of life.

If they never know the difference from others, how can they work harder to improve.

If they can't deal with the burden from study, how can they face with the burden of life.

Personally, I object to the routine publizing students' grade. 
I have been  troubled by the rank for a long time even if I was the first.
The rank made me compete blindly and gradually lose my original heart. 
I'm totally tired mentally and physically. 
It happened in my senior High school under great pressure and my heart isn't strong enough to sustain it. 
Such a bad experience!

 Maybe in the other countries teachers should not public their students scores because students scores are students' privacy. As countries which  regard human rights as an  important thing, some countries may not public the scores.

But in China, students goals which are public can improve students' motivation. There is also a very important examination called Gao Kao which means the college entrance examination. Many schools test their students and to help them get higher scores to enter a well university. Therefore it is necessary.

Those who obtained good monks do not worry showing themselves in public.

The key question in the group or the small group at lower grade.

If their remarks were published they will have varying and pressure in my opinion. If the pressure could make them getting active, it is good.

If it is not good, whether it is good or bad, the lower grade group need practice.

Only in this way could they get an opportunity to confronting the challenge and pressure. And then they can become stronger.

I do not agree with the propose. If we do so, sudents will unconsciously compare their grades with others,and that often lead to the sense of anxiety or uncertainty, which is a main cause  of mental-health problems for high school students.

Yes.  It can drive students to study if their grades were publicly. And the top one can make a good example for students. 

Some people may think that students'grades should be in public and someone many think they shouldn't. 

I just want to say: "Try to think about the question in another aspect. "If you are a student who always gets good marks, please imagine that you are a student who always gets bad marks. Will you expect your marks which make you feel shame with be public? Of course not unless you don't care about your marks and your impression. Though making students'marks public is a method to teach students how to face failures, I don't agree with doing that. Because the stresses it will bring to students may make them give up to study.
